Policies & Fees
To provide consistent, respectful, and high-quality care for every companion and family we work with, we ask that all clients review and agree to the following FIVE policies. These guidelines help ensure safety, transparency, and a seamless experience for everyone involved.
1. Home Access & Safety
Two Access Methods
Every scheduled visit requires two access methods, as applicable:
-
A physical key (stored securely or in a lockbox)
-
A digital entry code, if available (e.g., smart locks or garage keypads)
We aren't responsible for missed visits due to inaccessible entry.
Key Handling
We strongly recommend providing a key to be kept securely on file or in a lockbox. If key pickup or drop-off is required outside of scheduled services, the following fees apply:
-
Key pickup or drop-off: $10 each way
Client-Provided Supplies
To support safe and ethical care, clients are required to provide:
-
Well-fitted harnesses and fear-free equipment (no aversives such as prong collars, choke chains, or e-collars)
-
Paw balm in cold weather
-
Towels for mud and rain
-
A climate-controlled indoor environment during the day
2. Payments & Billing
Automatic Payments
Cards on file will be automatically charged at 12:00 PM on the first day of services. Clients receive an email 24 hours in advance so they can add a tip to the invoice or confirm that all looks correct. You will only be charged if a visit is scheduled. Receipts are provided for every transaction.
Extended Time Charges
In the case of unplanned extensions during a visit — such as behavioral changes, health-related needs, medication delays due to fear or anxiety, or emergencies — additional time will be billed accordingly. These instances are rare and only charged when truly necessary for your companion’s safety and well-being.
Refund Policy
Refunds are not offered for completed services, as time and care are invested in every visit. However, if a billing error occurs — such as a duplicate charge or incorrect fee — we will promptly issue a refund. Please reach out within 7 days of the charge to resolve any discrepancies.
3. Pre-Visit Introductions
Required Meet & Greet
Before we begin regular services, a paid Meet & Greet at your home is required.
-
Cost: $25 (plus sales tax)
-
Typically lasts 40 minutes
-
Includes:
-
A behavioral assessment
-
Review of your companion’s routines, triggers, and environment
-
Time for everyone — guardian, caregiver, and companion — to meet and feel comfortable
-
This session helps us build trust, gather important details, and provide personalized, trauma-informed care from the very first visit.
Bonding Sessions
For companions who are fearful, reactive, anxious, or require medication, bonding sessions may be required before continuing services without a guardian present.
-
Typically lasts 30 minutes
-
Must be scheduled in advance to other visits
-
Determined at the caregiver’s discretion
-
Helps build trust at your companion’s pace
-
Ensures safe, respectful care — especially for sensitive needs like medication administration or handling
These sessions are a crucial part of creating a low-stress, respectful caregiving relationship — especially for those who need extra time, space, or patience.
Software Use
We use a software as our primary communication and scheduling platform. To ensure safe and consistent care, we ask that all clients:
-
Communicate exclusively through the software for general comments and questions
-
Keep your family profile up to date, including emergency contacts, care instructions, and access information
-
Notify us in advance if you are adding a new companion to your household
These steps help us provide personalized, reliable care and avoid any surprises that could impact your companion’s safety or comfort.

Multi-Companion Rates
We aim to keep pricing fair while accounting for the time, care, and logistics involved when supporting multiple companions.
-
Pet Taxi, Walks, and Adventure Hikes:
Additional fees may apply when more than one companion is traveling, especially for SniffSpots or park adventures. These are based on time, transport needs, and caregiver capacity. You’ll be informed in advance if rates apply. -
Drop-In Visits:
No additional fees for up to five companions. If care is needed for six or more during a visit, we may recommend a longer session and apply a modest additional fee to ensure everyone receives safe, personalized attention.
Let us know your household needs — we will always provide transparent pricing before services are confirmed.
